Pitwheel classic Cocktails
Everyone loves a good classic cocktail and some of the best and most traditional are made using a high quality gin.
Here at PitWheel Distillery we have recreated some of your classic serves to provide some ideas for your parties at home, or just that fun night in where you want something a bit different!
Pitwheel Signature Cocktails
Looking to switch things up with your classic G&T serve then why not try one of our cocktail creations. All have been specially designed by fantastic mixologist, Vanessa who we came to discover via our Instagram. With each creation, she has continued to keep our heritage and branding in mind to bring our own signature cocktails which we needed to share with you all!!
Pitwheel classic dry gin
Coal Miners Martini
Ingredients
-
50ml PitWheel Classic Dry Gin
-
15ml Dry Vermouth
-
Squeeze of fresh lemon
-
1/2 tsp activated charcoal
-
Juniper berries to garnish
Method
-
Crack egg and pour out egg white only for a dry 30 sec shake (no ice, just shake)

Fill shaker 3/4 full with ice and shake for further 30 secs.

Add 50ml PitWheel Classic Dry Gin
-
Add 15ml Dry Vermouth
-
Squeeze of fresh lemon
-
Add 1/2 tsp of activated charcoal into shaker with ice - stir to enable full inclusion

Shake for 30 secs
-
Strain into martini glass, add juniper berries to garnish and serve
Pitwheel original spiced gin
Spiced Apple Gin & Tonic
Ingredients
-
40ml PitWheel Original Spiced Gin
-
Apple Infused Green Tea Bag
-
70ml Hot Water
-
Tsp Ginger Preserve
-
Ice
-
Blood Orange & Turmeric Tonic Water (recommended)
-
Apple / Cumin (for garnish)
Method
-
Put apple infused green tea in small shaker tin with the hot water
-
Add PitWheel Original Spiced Gin.

Muddle ginger preserve in with tea bag and leave to sit/cool for around 1 min
-
Add 8 square ice cubes and shake for 20 secs
-
Strain into balloon glass full of ice cubes

Top with Blood Orange and Turmeric Tonic

Add apple sprinkled with cumin powder to garnish
For the Father's of the Mines
Ingredients
-
25ml PitWheel Original Spiced Gin
-
25ml Calvados or Apple Brandy
-
25ml Brandy de Jerez
-
Ice

Method
-
Add all ingredients into a mixing glass 3/4 full with ice. If you dont have a mixing glass, use standard glass or shaker tin
-
Stir smoothly and at a good speed for 15-20 seconds
-
Strain into a coupe glass if available
Pitwheel raspberry & vanilla gin
A PitWheel Kind of Love
Ingredients
-
40ml PitWheel Raspberry & Vanilla Gin
-
1 Egg White
-
15ml vanilla syrup
-
Handful of Fresh Raspberries
-
10ml Rose Water
-
Rose Lemonade
-
Rose Petals
-
Ice
Method
-
Separate egg white and shake without ice for 30 seconds
-
Add ice and shake again for a further 30 seconds
-
After shaking, separate the smaller tin from the larger tin. Ensure all foam is in the larger tin

Use the smaller tin - place in the raspberries and muddle, adding the PitWheel Raspberry & Vanilla gin, rose water and vanilla syrup

Shake together for 30 seconds
-
Strain into a glass and top with rose lemonade (note: add down the edge of the glass so as not to disrupt the foam, if need be smooth with bar spoon)

Add rose petals to garnish
PitWheel Bramble
Ingredients
-
40ml PitWheel Raspberry & Vanilla Gin
-
25ml fresh lemon juice
-
10ml creme de mure
-
5ml simple syrup (home made)
-
1 bar spoon of vanilla extract
-
1/2 bar spoon of butterfly pea powder
-
Ice
Method
-
Build in large shaker tin and fill 3/4 ice
-
Add PitWheel Raspberry & Vanilla Gin, fresh lemon juice, simple syrup and vanilla extract to the shaker tin
-
Take your bar spoon and drop in the butterfly pea powder (1/2 bar sp) and stir vigorously for 15 seconds
-
Shake these ingredients together for another 15 seconds and strain over crushed ice

Float the 10ml of creme de mure over the serve and top with a little layer of crushed ice

Add Flower for Garnish
